New Dollywood Resort Opening 2023

The new Dollywood’s HeartSong Lodge & Resort is set to open in late 2023. We are sharing the latest updates about this new Smoky Mountain lodge. The resort will be located adjacent to Dollywood’s other resort, Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa, and just down the road from Dollywood and Dollywood’s Splash Country. 

Story Behind The Resort

In June of 2021, Dollywood’s Dreamer-in-Chief, Dolly Parton, announced the news that Dollywood would be getting a new resort as part of Dollywood’s half-billion dollar investment plan to expand the theme park and Smoky Mountain travel destination over the next decade.

Did you know that Dollywood’s HeartSong Lodge & Resort is named after Dolly Parton’s song Heartsong? The song was recorded at Dollywood. The song was also inspiration for Dolly’s movie also called Heartsong. The movie plays inside Heartsong Theater at Dollywood. So you can see that the name Heartsong means a lot to Dolly and Dollywood.

Resort Theme

HeartSong Lodge & Resort is a new and elevated take on the grand American lodge and reflects the warmth of the Great Smoky Mountains. It’s design is a reimagined lodge themed after Smoky Mountain lodges. The new lodge & resort will be be both rustic and refined.

The resort is being built in a beautiful cove in the rolling foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. The resort’s decorative touches are inspired by the natural beauty of the Smokies with high ceilings, exposed beams and use of natural layered textures.

Resort Features

Dollywood’s HeartSong Lodge & Resort is five-stories and features Smoky Mountain themed suites and loft rooms that are tucked into dormers. At the center of the resort is the four-story atrium lobby with lantern-inspired windows, allowing views of the beautiful outdoors and vista with a two-story fireplace. The resort will also have both an indoor and outdoor pool, a Dolly inspired music acoustics room, an outdoor cove, a firepit, and a screened-in porch for guests to enjoy. 

The resort also will cater to larger groups with their 26,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space. The property includes the HeartSong Event Center, two ballrooms, a board room, spacious outdoor meeting spaces, and the event lawn. With these different options, the resort can accommodate gatherings for several hundred people.

Rooms & Suites

Dollywood’s HeartSong Lodge & Resort will offer a variety of accommodations with 302 rooms. Dollywood’s newest resort will have lodging options for both larger families and couples. The guest rooms will feature themed family suites, rooms and suites with balconies, and hospitality rooms for small groups.

Dinning & Shopping

Dollywood’s HeartSong Lodge & Resort will have several different dining options. Their signature restaurant and lounge will seat 195 guests. The full service menu will offer special culinary dishes that are inspired by the Smokies. There will also be an on-the-go restaurant, called Wildflower Market Grab & Go Eatery, that will be perfect for a quick meal. The new resort will also have a lobby lounge and 40 seat private dining room as well. 

The new resort will also feature the Honeysuckle & Pine Storied Goods Mercantile, where guests will find unique gifts, Dolly Parton memorabilia, and treasured keepsakes.

Dolly Parton made her first media appearance at the construction site of Dollywood’s HeartSong Lodge & Resort at a media event on June 24, 2022. She shared, “In its simplest form, HeartSong is about the Smoky Mountains and why I continue to come back home year after year. It is the place I recharge and stay grounded. The beauty of the mountains—at every hour and in every season—is simply an inspiration. From the time I was a child, I roamed the hills of Locust Ridge and explored God’s coloring book.”

When Will Dollywood’s HeartSong Lodge & Resort Open?

Dollywood’s HeartSong Lodge & Resort is set to open late in 2023. The exact opening date has not yet been announced. We can’t wait to find out when the grand opening will be!
